On the surface ScanMan looks like a simple program to operate - and it is! But a lot of the work is done behind the scenes using powerful software algorithms. We like to call the user-interface "intuitive" rather than simple.
Capture your goods after receiving them into your ERP system (we can extract the data automatically from your SQL database), ScanMan automatically prints a label with a barcode. You scan the barcode and bin location when you put it away.
If you move the box or pick from it, scan it and tell ScanMan about your adjustments. If you issue the box out of the warehouse, tell ScanMan and the box is archived.
It's that simple! ScanMan operates quickly, so with these operations you are saving many man-hours.

Physical Inventory
The stocktake feature of ScanMan is its big selling point. Our stocktake software is guaranteed to reduce your stocktake time from a few days to a few hours.
Developed over 7 years in the motor industry, our stocktake system has been refined over time with many features and developments being added by our software developers, who are personally involved in the stocktake process. It offers double count with comparison, wireless scanner, PC data capture, file upload, as well as memory scanner integration so you can have multiple teams working on your various warehouse's stocktakes, even if they don’t have wireless coverage.
Easy Integration
ScanMan software is designed to work alongside your existing ERP system. Historically, ERP systems have done a mediocre job in warehouse management, being either too rigid or too simplistic in their inventory control. Their user interfaces are often clumsy and frustrating to the users.
ScanMan is designed to fill the gap by working alongside your ERP system. Receiving and providing information to your ERP system only when needed, and yet working autonomously.
The software is ideally suited to situations where FIFO (first in first out) principles are to be followed, but not rigidly enforced.
ScanMan is not dependant on other ERP systems, but can optionally integrate to your ERP system if required.
ScanMan uses wireless pocket PC type barcode scanners, keyboard wedge type scanners, as well as data storage scanners. However, scanners are optional and you can simply use a normal PC and keyboard if you want.
Powerful Reporting
ScanMan offers powerful reports for analysing the progress and accuracy of your stock-take like: Bins not touched report, Warehouse Value report, Warehouse Value Exception Report and Still to scan report.
The financial report available during stock take allows additional effort to be allocated to finding high value items.
Traceability & Security
ScanMan provides an Audit Log, which provides traceability. Everybody needs to log into the system: either with an automatic login for domain users, or a user name/password login for scanner users. If somebody changes anything in the system, ScanMan records this against the history of every box.
ScanMan provides authorisations. Every user can be assigned permissions to perform certain operations, which means that your data is more secure.
